Discount Home Entertainment with Cheap LCD TVs
Television systems have been going the route of large flat panel displays. There was a time when if you wanted a large flat panel you had to have a projector. TV sizes started to increase with 40-inch CRT displays, these were almost immediately followed by 52-inch TV. These were large systems. Large and getting huge.
Nowadays, there are a lot of viable options. There are DLP projector systems, plasma and LCD TV. For large displays, plasma flat panel TV are the way to go. But for systems as big 40- or 50-inches, LCDs offer an affordable options.
Large flat panel displays need not be expensive. The cost of LCD TV have been steadily becoming more affordable and the newer models are full HDTV compliant and with multiple input sources.
LCD TV displays do have disadvantages. These come with the display technology or how the pixels are displayed on the monitor. Buyers check the display quality by carefully viewing for the rendering of black. Since LCDs use a backlight for the pixel to appear on screen the light leaks out through the matrix display and makes the rendering of black look a bit gray.
In terms of longevity, LCDs compare well with other technologies. For small TV sizes, LCD sets are cheaper than plasma, but the cost of LCD sets don’t scale well with larger sets, those larger 40-inches.
With recent research and developments, the cost of flat panel displays are getting less expensive all around. And with new technology and newer sets with more and better features, the cost of new and used displays are getting less expensive as well. There are even some used LCD flat panel TV of 30-inches in size which are cheaper than new CRT TV TV.
Whether these are brand new or used and previously owned, cheap LCD TV displays are not rare. It’s possible to find affordable large LCD flat panel displays for the discriminating consumers who want to upgrade their home entertainment TV.
