Best Man Wedding Toast Tips

A very close friend of mine was getting wed and although I hadn’t been asked to be the best man, the speech supplied by the best man was terrible but worse still he didn’t even attempt to direct it to the bride and bridegroom.  First, consider your friend who is getting wedded, how many years you’ve known him, matters you’ve done together, and just why his bride is nice.  You can just get a card and jot down some of the most essential points when it comes to your speech.

This is not a great best man speech and the bride will be insulted.  When you get up to render your address, give thanks to everybody for attending before you start to congratulate the bride and your friend the groom.  Try to  talk about the type of character that the bridegroom will bring into the family if you are related to the bridegroom.
Most important thing to remember is how much loving they have for each other.
 
As multiple people will most likely speak, the best man must insure his wedding speech isn’t too long.  Most likely, the bridesmaid, parents of the bride and bridegroom will also want to talk and in these times of more than 2 parents and step-parents, it’s better to preserve your address to a minimum so they will all have time to talk.  Using these ideas will ensure that your ‘best man speech” is unforgettable; so make sure you put the time into it that is needed and if you are going to speak from the top of your head, use index cards.
